Gas Forum Has Started in St. Petersburg

On 2 October, the 8th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum had its zero day at Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year, the Forum pledges to reach an all-time high — representatives from 50 countries are expected to come: the convention program includes speakers from the USA, South America, Europe and all the CIS countries.

The business program of this year's Forum comprises more than 90 events. Participants will talk about energy safety and security, gas engine fuel, petrochemical industry, import substitution in the oil and gas sector, gas distribution, gas consumption and other industry issues. SPIGF's key topic this year is "The Role and Significance of Natural Gas in the Energy Balance of the World Economy".

On day zero, experts are to focus on the role of HR and social policies of companies in the development of the country's oil and gas complex, current issues of supplying liquefied natural gas and ensuring consumer safety in its use, they are also to talk about the paths of innovation and new technologies in the gas industry. Besides that, today, with the support of the International Business Congress, the Forum is running the Youth Day. Top managers of leading energy companies will talk about the trends in the development of the gas sector with talented students from around the world.

Large-scale exposition brought together over 500 companies. The area of over 30 thousand square meters highlights the latest developments and up-and-coming projects of the gas sector and related industries. Within the framework of the exposition, three international exhibitions are organised at the same time: the 6th International Specialised Exhibition InGAS Stream 2018 – Innovations in the Gas Industry; the 5th International Specialised Exhibition Gas Engine Fuel; the 22nd International Specialised Exhibition of Natural Gas Industry and Technology for Gas Facility ROS-GAS-EXPO. For the third time, Russian companies unveil their innovations at the Specialised Exposition Import Substitution in the Gas Industry.

The participants of SPIGF-2018 include: Gazprom PJSC, OMV AG, Uniper SE, Gazprom Gas-Engine Fuel LLC, Russian Export Center JSC, Gazprom Avtomatizatsiya PJSC, RUSNANO JSC, ChelPipe Group, Main Company of Comita Group of Companies, Russian Cylinders LLC, RGM-Neft-Gaz-Service LLC, TMK and others.
