On 3 October, as part of the Forum, representatives of the organisation will speak at the conference “Export Prospects for Russian Oil and Gas Technology”.

Australia Russia Dialogue (ARD) is a leading non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting multifaceted collaboration between Australia and Russia. ARD was formed as an association of industry, professionals and academia.

Alexey Goncharov, representing Australia Russia Dialogue, has worked at the Australian State Geological Survey for almost 25 years and has extensive information about the Australian energy sector. At the conference, he will give a talk “The necessity of Australian-Russian Gas Dialogue.”

Australia has significant natural gas resources and is the second largest exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the world, but there are some economic and political problems that have led to gas shortages on the internal market. LNG import terminals are planned to be built on the east coast of the country so that gas imported from abroad can compensate for this deficit. This potentially opens up opportunities for the export of Russian liquefied natural gas to Australia.

Conference organiser: Russian Export Center JSC.
