At the Forum, Russian gas distribution equipment and technologies were presented.
During the presentation, the Gas Equipment Manufacturers Association (GEMA) demonstrated their new metrology tools to regional gas companies and gas distributors. Moreover, they showcased the serial solutions related to digital technologies and telemetering systems.
Sergey Stafik, CEO of Aksitekh company, presented automated telemechanical system ASDUK PGT with a pneumatic hydraulic drive and sampling devices for gas pressure measurement. ‘This is an express novelty. This totally independent system facilitates remote ball valve management within 500 meters’ range. It doesn’t need landplots, power lines, or communication lines – the device is dispatched and then installed on the gas pipeline,’ he explained and then added that the software solutions used are Russian-made, too.
During the presentation, Aksitekh suggested that sensors installed on pipelines, as well as monitoring and measuring devices, should be unified for all the participants of the industry to use the same technical solution.
A representative from Gazprom Mezhregiongaz told the participants and guests about their new digital platform – IUSTSYFRA. This IT product is intended for development of corporate automated data systems that can sustain high loads. ‘This is a dashboard for gas distribution telemetric systems. It is capable of collecting, storing, and processing data real-time,’ the expert outlined.
Today, manufacturers specially focus on import substitution of common and industrial gas metering units, controllers, and gas concentration detectors.
‘We develop, supply, and install state-of-the-art devices and gas metering units for common and industrial needs, and we’re currently upgrading our equipment. For instance, we’ve modernized our gas meter verification facilities. After jointing the forces of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, and the People’s Republic of China, we are no longer dependent on unfriendly suppliers,’ said Vladimir Grishchuk, Director of the Joint Russia-Belarus company RUSBELGAZ.
Sergey Stafik is positive that import substitution issues can only be solved in case manufacturers and customers work together. He believes that the Gas Equipment Manufacturers Association is very helpful with this – in the last 2 years, it significantly improved its status within the industry, and the number of its participants is twice as big.
‘The Association was established to amalgamate the potential of the largest Russian industrial companies,’ acknowledged Natalya Chernichkina, Director of GEMA. She also announced that on Day 0 of the Forum, the Association celebrated its 15th birthday.
