On behalf of Gazprom and me personally, I am happy to welcome participants and guests of the 14th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

Natural gas is the key element in reliability and flexibility of the global energy supply. During the years when the Forum has been held, global gas consumption has increased by 20+ percent. It will continue to rise, and in the future gas will naturally take its leading position in the world’s energy balance, as it is an effective and clean energy carrier.

St. Petersburg International Gas Forum pursues to be a leader, too. During the years of its existence, this event has not just expanded. It has performed a quality leap and become one of the major industrial venues. The list of countries taking part in the Forum is continuously extending, and the quality of the expositions keeps rising. Again and again, the Forum offers new opportunities to develop cooperation between participants of the energy market.

We feel confident about the future as we are creating it ourselves. This year, the traditional corporate exposition arranged by Gazprom has been named GAZPROM — TERRITORY OF TECHNOLOGICAL LEADERSHIP. This is a definite description of our approach — we aim to create unique and advanced projects. You can see the results with your own eyes at our exposition. There, we showcase many samples of Russian-made goods produced on Gazprom’s order. All of them ensure superior development of the gas sector and provide a material contribution into reinforcement of our country’s technological independence.

The expert dialogue that takes place during the Forum is smoothly complemented by the events established for young people. In 2025, we are making a new step in that direction. YOUTH DAY will transform into the International Acceleration Program, which will let the participants offer their daring solutions and present their full-scale projects to the best experts of the sector. The new format is a great option for future leaders to get into the spotlight and have their initiatives supported and implemented.

I am positive that meaningful and substantive communication during the highly topical program of St. Petersburg International Gas Forum will promote sustainable development of the global energy in the long run.

Let me welcome you at one of the pivotal annual events for the oil and gas sector, the 14^th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum!

The oil and gas sector is still the cornerstone of the Russian economy. It ensures the stable growth of the industry, makes our country independent in terms of energy and improves the living standards. Today, the sector has some challenging tasks to solve, which are associated with introduction of advanced technologies, development of the local production facilities and reinforcement of Russia’s position in the global market.

The top priority pursued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is to ensure that Russia can become technologically independent, which is achieved through boosting development of local companies, introduction of innovative solutions and expansion of import substitution opportunities. Such arrangements are aimed at reduction of the industry’s dependence on foreign technologies and components.

During the years of its existence, St. Petersburg International Gas Forum has become the top venue to comprehensive discussion of global trends and strategic industrial initiatives.

I am absolutely certain that the extensive convention and exhibition programs will help to increase the scientific-technical and production-technological potential of the Russian Federation, as well as extend the country’s collaboration in one of the most essential sectors of economy.

Dear colleagues,

The gas sector has an essential part in ensuring our country’s energy balance and establishing a strong basis for its industrial development. Today, the list of our priorities includes the resource base extension, upgrade of the mining, transporting, and processing systems, introduction of Russian-made technologies, and bringing-up a new generation of specialists. These areas of focus open great prospects for long-term growth both in the local market and as regards to external economic relations.

St. Petersburg International Gas Forum has become a professional venue to talk about the future landmarks of the industry, a place to react to current challenges and to agree on practical steps required to develop innovative initiatives.

Traditionally, the Ministry of Energy of Russia supports Forum and takes part in its key events. This year, attention will be concentrated on discussing the gas sector’s development strategy in the context of global markets’ transformation, opening of new export lines, and increasing the use of gas as an eco-friendly fuel.

The Forum offers favorable conditions for exchange of the best practices followed in Russia, which enables local manufacturers to annually demonstrate what they are capable of.

I am happy to greet participants, organisers and guests of the 14^th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum!

Here, leaders of the global gas market, representatives of business and academic communities, as well as state officials are going to talk about the up-to-date issues and solutions, which will define the future of the gas industry in Russia and in the world in general.

In the current complicated foreign policy situation, Russia is positively keeping its status as one of the top players in the global fuel market. The gas industry is finding new ways to expand and is successfully adjusting to the changing reality.

This essential sector has a special place in the economy of St. Petersburg. To a great extent, its operation defines the working beat of our megacity and ensures that essential social tasks are fulfilled. Large-scale projects are being implemented to establish a looped gas distribution system, to ensure social gasification and to extend the methane fueling stations network. St. Petersburg is the key natural gas consumer amid all the regions. Rightfully, our city is addressed as the engine fuel capital of Russia.

Major as it is, the Forum is deservedly recognised as one of the biggest business events. In 2024, it brought together over 30,000 guests from 54 states. This year, the focus is on promising technologies, state-of-the-art management models and key geopolitical factors.

I am positive that results of our collaborative efforts will promote reinforcement of Russia’s energy potential and wellbeing of our citizens.

I happily welcome you at one of the biggest international events for the gas sector. Holding it has already become a good tradition, indeed.

This year, it is a great honour for us to become a partner region at such a significant event.

The Republic of Tatarstan has been contributing materially to the scientific and technological development of Russia over many years. Today, our academic communities and research centres are continuously working to develop new technologies, the ones that will set a development vector for the energy industry, help enhance production efficiency and environmental safety.

In our Republic, traditions of the multinational culture and the state-of-the-art technological progress chime in balance. We are doing our best to make our every project and initiative designed for the common good and reinforcement of nationhood. At the Forum, we are going to demonstrate our industrial potential with the advanced offers for the oil-gas and the petrochemical industries. Gladly, I greet the participants of the 14^th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum!

For a long time, the Forum has been not just a meeting of industrialists, but a point of attraction for business leaders, representatives of the academic community and officials of the State. This is where the environment is established for active discussions and experience sharing, where new insights emerge, novel unconventional solutions are implemented, and milestones are set that will define development of the Russian energy sector for the years to come.

The Gazprom corporate exposition, which since 2016 has been showcasing the best Russian projects and has become an integral element on the agenda, takes great part in the Forum program. This year, it will be held for the 10^th time in a row and will be included under a new name: Gazprom – Territory of Technological Leadership.

As usually, the exposition will bring together top Russian manufacturers, who will demonstrate the most forward-minded products and solutions for the oil and gas sector. The new name of the exposition reflects the strategic emphasis the project puts on reinforcement of Russia’s technological independence and on shaping of our country’s leadership in the oil and gas sector.

I am absolutely certain that this anniversary exposition together with the highly packed program of the Forum will promote reinforcement of professional ties, as well as opening of new opportunities as regards collaboration and implementation of promising projects.

and innovations, discuss prospects, challenges and tasks of the industry’s development.

The event engages representatives of the regulative, industrial and academic elite from foreign states: the ones who see Russia’s importance as one of the leaders
of the world’s oil and gas sector, who intent to establish a long-term and a win-win energy partnership with our country.

As the tradition has it, the Forum is once again accompanied by an outstanding exhibition where the most up-to-date, break-through technological solutions and projects are presented by companies working in Russia and all across the globe. Thanks to ample opportunities for meeting new acquaintances and for business discussions, the event becomes even more significant.

This year, as it has always been, the agenda of the Forum comprises the most up-to-date industrial matters related to getting technologically independent, making more effective operation of every sector within the gas industry, from geological survey to gas conversion, human resources management and answers to employment issues, digital transformation and investments attraction.

During SPIGF 2025, the Russian Gas Society is holding round table discussions
and scientific-practical conferences. There, the participants will talk about promising technologies for hydrocarbon feedstock procession, legal regulations for the oil and gas sector, part of industrial public enterprises in development of international collaboration, relations between the state, employers and employees within the sector, and the social dialogue, too. You are welcome to attend our events.

At the fringes of the Forum, we will once again arrange a Billiards Tournament. Those taking part in it will compete for the Cup of the President of the Russian Gas Society. This event has become not only a place for an exciting competition at the billiard table,
but also a space where representatives of many companies join to socialise and meet each other.

On behalf of the Archive Office of St. Petersburg, I welcome you at the 14th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum!

This year, the topic of the Forum is of paramount importance not only for the scientific and professional community, but for the entire country, as for a long time the gas sector has been one of the cornerstones of the Russian economy and energy safety.

Gas is not just about energy supply. It is a resource that defines independence and sustainable development of our state, which has been repeatedly mentioned by President of the Russian Federation. Throughout the roughest times, during the Great Patriotic War, it was the gas industry that supplied energy to the frontline and the rear, which they needed to manufacture arms, operate enterprises, and restore the disrupted economy. It was a genuine example of serving the Homeland and fulfilling the distinguished patriotic mission.

This year, the Forum hosts GASIFICATION OF LENINGRAD — A BATTLE TAKEN AFTER THE WAR, an exhibition arranged with direct participation of the Archive Committee. It is dedicated to recovery and development of Leningrad’s gas infrastructure in the years that followed the war. The key objective of the project is to commemorate the heroic labor contribution provided by Leningraders, who managed the large-scale slate gas based gasification in the severe environment of their ruined city. The event will showcase real technologies that were used to mine, transport, and operate gas — the ones that ensured energy supply across the city and changed the citizens’ lives for the better.

By studying historical documents and evidence of those times today, we gratefully recall the heroic deed undertaken by our predecessors. Moreover, its helps us realise that we are responsible for the succession and further progress in the gas industry. What’s even more, this knowledge gives us powers and inspiration for new achievements.
