The main meat restaurant in St. Petersburg and the first project of Alexander Rappoport in the Northern capital. Chef Evgeny Zubov builds the concept around author’s dishes from local Russian products and meat of a high degree of marbling. The menu includes more than 40 meat dishes – chateaubriand with black caviar sauce, venison medallions with parsnips and cherries, stewed beef ribs kalbi with mashed potatoes. There are also about 20 types of steaks, some of which can only be tasted in Blok.
The wine list combines both the names of popular world wine-growing regions and avant-garde Russian wines. The atmosphere in the restaurant is set by the interior in the style of the northern modern and the Leningrad avant-garde – a multi-level space where the walls are decorated with light panels with works by artists of the early twentieth century. In the warm season, you can sit on the spacious summer terraces overlooking the blooming Tauride Garden and the old city.
