DISCUSSION:
Hydrogen is a universal energy carrier which has an essential role in the energy transition process. The amount of renewable and atomic energy facilities keeps increasing, and they are going to supply over 50% of power in the global energy balance by 2050. Hydrogen helps store energy excess in a chemical form, which solves the issues with small-maneuver generation. Such excess can be further used by the industry or transformed back into energy to be consumed by energy or transport facilities. For the Russian Federation, it is important not only to stay in keeping with global trends, but also to set development trends for the new sector as this can provide a technological advantage and thus ensure that Russian economy is competitive. That’s why we have to develop mechanisms for the state, science and business to collaborate when it comes to energy transition and progress of new hydrogen-based energy.
