DEMONSTRATION OF SHUKHOV. THE LAST HERO OF RUSSIAN RENAISSANCE FILM

The International Shukhov Foundation and the Apollo Film Studio present «Shukhov. The last hero of russian renaissance», a documentary directed by Anatoly Balchev.

The film tells about the life and creative heritage of the Russian engineering genius Vladimir SHUKHOV (1853–1939), who designed Russia’s first oil and gas pipelines along with oil tankers and oil storages, laid the basics for advanced oil procession, the legendary hyperboloid-like structures, and many other things.

The film was first shown in the 68th Cannes Festival and many other international festivals, as well as in schools and universities.

Anatoly Balchev wrote the script and became a coproducer.

Leonid Stern gave scientific advice and was a coproducer, too.

The film is 52 minutes long.
