DISCUSSION:
Substituting foreign supplies with the Russian ones is not only a search for materials, components and services that are suitable in terms of technical parameters, but also construction of completely new cooperation chains. In essence, the industry as a system of partnerships is reassembling itself. St. Petersburg, being one of the organisational and scientific centres of the oil and gas industry, is forming model examples of interaction, taking into account technological capabilities and economic constraints of the 21st century. What formats of alliances have proven themselves to be effective, what industry participants lack for more effective interaction with each other and with related industries — these are the topics for discussion at RBC round table discussion during SPIGF.
QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION:
What cooperation models (consortiums, long-term contracts, joint ventures, digital platforms, etc.) have St. Petersburg-based companies built to localise production of critical components, to ensure repairs and maintenance? Which of them are worth replicating?
How to take into account mutual interests? In what partnership models have St. Petersburg-based companies stimulated the growth of production and technological development of their partners in the regions?
What are the prospects and models of horizontal cooperation between major players, for example, in construction and use of trunk and regional gas transportation infrastructure? For which projects is this most relevant? What is the role of the state in coordinating and stimulating such projects?
Intra-industry cooperation in R&D — are there any successful cases of interaction? What is needed to effectively combine efforts and create new technologies — both import-substituting and breakthrough?
What is the role of cooperation in development of the domestic market — in particular, gasification of regions?
What are the promising areas of cooperation with related industries — education, IT, mechanical engineering, etc.? Are there any obstacles to effectively building ties, is the coordinating role of the state required here and to what extent?
