On October 11, 2024, the 11th Historic seminar OIL&GAS INDUSTRY — DEVELOPMENT DURING THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR. EVENTS AND LESSONS will take place during the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
The event will present the oil and gas sector through the prism of historic experience and its impact on the progress made by the energy sector in Russia and abroad.
Participants of the seminar will learn about development of gas fields in the Volga Region, construction of main gas pipes, and the role played by the Azerbaijani and Caucasian oil industry during the war. They will also talk about the development vectors for the sector that arose during the war and after it.
The program will include a special section dedicated to outstanding people who significantly contributed to victory in war and growth of the oil and gas sector.
The seminar will be moderated by Leonid Stern – President of the International Shukhov Foundation and Sergey Serdyukov – Representative of Rector for Special Programs Support at the Empress Catherine II St. Petersburg Mining University.
The seminar is arranged by the International Shukhov Foundation and ExpoForum International.
