In 2022, the rally has passed across 25 constituent units of the Russian Federation. GAS INTO ENGINES 2022 has been the longest rally of gas engine vehicles in the history of Russia. The motor column started out in Vladivostok and covered 10 thousand kilometers in 1.5 months.
Production and sale of natural gas (methane) as engine fuel is the strategic focus of Gazprom PJSC. To consistently work on development of the gas engine fuel market, they’ve established a special company – Gazprom Gas-Engine Fuel, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2022.
Gazprom Group arranged the first gas engine vehicle rally in 2008. Throughout these years, the project has been participated by 200+ factory-made vehicles using compressed and liquefied natural gas. They’ve covered 60+ thousand kilometers, driving through 130 cities in Russia and abroad. Notably, in 2018 there was a liquefied natural gas vehicle rally that included China, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
