SPIGF 2020 to run according to the schedule

The Forum will be held from 6 to 9 of October at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre and promises to be the largest in comparison with previous years.

Event business is going through a period of a marked lull at the moment. At the same time, the organisers are coming up with a new schedule for the event. Consequently, ExpoForum International is planning to reschedule the spring events for the autumn.

Meanwhile, preparations for the 10th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum are being in full swing: the largest places in the pavilions are reserved for the top-tier international and Russian industry players. The team of experts is currently working on a draft version of convention program. Event-specialists are mapping out the Forum’s cultural program: it is going to be especially colourful this year, with SPIGF celebrating its 10th anniversary.

“We are keeping a close eye on the economic and epidemiological situation in Russia and across the globe. With empathy and hope, we are looking forward to an early resumption of activity in all sectors. Are there reasons to put off SPIGF 2020? We are keeping an ear to the ground all the time, being ready for all kinds of developments. Although, I think it would be a mistake to freeze the preparation: we are intently looking forward to the Forum taking place. In 2014, the Gas Forum was the first event to run in the new-born ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre. I am sure that the Gas Forum 2020 will be one of the most remarkable events of the new event season after the pandemic,” – says Denis Osadchiy, Head of SPIGF.
