The longest Russian natural gas vehicle rally GAS INTO ENGINES 2022 finished at the venue of the 11th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

The rally took off in Vladivostok early in August. The road train of natural gas vehicles traveled a way of 10 thousand kilometers across 25 constituent territories of the Russian Federation. There were KAMAZ-5490 NEO trucks, Lada Vesta and GAZelle vehicles, as well as an urban bus among them.

‘Today is remarkable, as all the vehicles traveled across 25 federal subjects of Russia, and none of them had any breakdowns on the way. This gives evidence of top quality of the Russian cars,’ said Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee at Gazprom PJSC.

‘First of all, gas is about saving money, and switching our vehicles to natural gas is going to have a good economic effect for Russia. Today, we’re developing the necessary infrastructure, and I’d like to thank the plants that make gas engine fuel vehicles. Gas into engines is our future,’ he added.

‘This is a milestone event both for our company and our colleagues. I would like to congratulate the drivers and the employees of Gazprom Helium Service and Gazprom Gas-Engine Fuel who covered this way with us,’ said Lyubov Brish, CEO of Gazprom Helium Service LLC.

‘The finish of the rally is a very significant event, as it has demonstrated that one can travel throughout Russia with our fuel. Thanks to the input arranged by our directors, the topic of gas engine fuel has been widespread developed. We promote partnership programs, and we have opened our first franchise stations,’ noted Denis Kornienko, Acting CEO of Gazprom Gas-Engine Fuel.

‘This rally was the longest so far. Next year, we would like to make the rally as large-scale as ever, so that as many participants from different regions would join,’ he promised.
