Forum news

On 4 October, Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom, and Alexander Artyukhov, CEO of United Engine Corporation JSC (UEC), signed the Gazprom Domestic Gas Turbine Equipment Cooperation Program for the period until 2030.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom.

The program reflects the future needs of Gazprom in the supply of gas turbine engines for the use in gas pumping units and gas turbine power plants, determines the expected scope of the overhaul of existing equipment, as well as the replacement of old and obsolete types of engines.

The focus is on ensuring a high level of reliability, technical and economic efficiency of the equipment needed by Gazprom.

The Program pays particular attention to the development of modern, including import substituting, gas turbine equipment for the company's projects both onshore and offshore, and better environmental characteristics of the equipment.

There are plans to develop and deploy low-emission combustion chambers for 16 and 25 MW engines most commonly used in Gazprom, which will significantly reduce air emissions.

The document provides for the use of advanced maintenance services – maintenance and repair throughout the life-cycle of engines, as well as their remote diagnostics, monitoring and forecasting of their technical condition.

UEC has proposed to use one more form of cooperation: provision of gas turbine engines for rent for the duration of repairs of the basic equipment that can potentially reduce downtime.
