Fight Nights Global 75: big-time sports to close the Forum
Forum news

The most eagerly anticipated sportive event, to be hold as part of the official cultural programme of SPIGF-2017 — the international mixed martial arts tournament Fight Nights Global 75 — is to take place on October 6th in the Sporting Complex "Jubilee" to close the Forum.

The programme is planned to include 10 top-rank battles. The highlight of the evening is bound to be the title bantamweight fight (61.2 kg) between the representative of the Northern Capital Nikita Chistyakov and the Slovakian contestant Tomas Deak.

Nikita Chistyakov (7-3-1), a.k.a "Piranha", leads a winning streak of three victories, having won an early victory over the famous Kazakh fighter Juman Jumabekov.

Tomas Deak (16-9-1) after having had a fiasco in a crucial battle against Yusup Saadulayev, won two consecutive victories over Vadim Buseev ("Fight of the Year", 2016) and Alexander Yanyshev. The Slovak is much more experienced and skillful than his counterpart, but Chistyakov's motivation is running high: it is not mundane to have to fight for the title of champion at one of the world's top-ranking promotion events, and, for good measure, in front of the inhabitants of his native city.

In the main match of the evening, the spectators will see the title bantamweight (56.7 kg) battle between the top fighter from the USA Tyson Nam (15-8-1) and the formidable "drummer" Rizvan "Predator" Abuev (9-1-0) from St. Petersburg. Tyson became very popular in Russia, knocking out Ali Bagautinov with a grandmaster's high-kick. Abuev is an extremely entertaining fighter who earlier clinched all his 9 wins (8 TKO, 1 submission).

In another critical battle, the star of mixed martial arts from St. Petersburg, Mikhail Mokhnatkin (9-2-2) will confront and heavyweight from the USA Derrick Mayman (19-9-0). Mokhnatkin after a not very bright title confrontation with Sergey Pavlovich, burns with a desire to please the public with a more emotional performance. Derrick, despite the negative dynamics in his previous fights, remains more than a dangerous opponent for any heavyweight in the world. The main weapon of Meimen is his dynamite fists. Will they be enough for him to be able to defeat such a gifted and hardworking athlete as Mikhail Mokhnatkin — the audience will soon find out.
