«It is an honor for our Homeland!» – this was the motto for the company’s presentation of the new ETERNO INGENIUM tank series and the pipeline joint prototype made by laser welding, at the 9th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

Chelpipe Group is an industrial group in Russia’s metallurgical cluster, and a major manufacturer of tubular goods. Chelpipe Group comprises Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant; Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant; a warehouse facility selling the Group's tubular products; META, a scrap procurement and processing company; enterprises producing ETERNO, SOT and MSA (Czech Republic) trunkline equipment, as well as Rimera, a provider of oilfield services.

In 2018, the company shipped about 2 mln tons of tubular goods (16.5% from the amounts of similar Russian products) to local industrial enterprises. According to the data provided by the company, 600 thousand tons of 2 mln tons of pipelines installed at Nord Stream-2 alone were made at Chelpipe Group sites.

The company established a stand styled after the Soviet film “White Sun of the Desert,» placing their tanks and the seamless pipeline joint prototype amidst the sand dunes. There was an unusual photo zone where everyone could have a picture of him or her as if neck-deep in the sand and drinking water from a copper tea pot.

“You might remember that cistern from “White Sun of the Desert.» Cisterns for horizontal storage of oil products are the new series made by Eterno plant. The motto of the exposition was a rephrased quote from the movie – “It is an honor for our Homeland!» (in the movie, it was “It is a disgrace for our Homeland»). Moreover, at the Forum, Chelpipe Group for the first time ever presented a pipeline joint prototype for trunk pipelines, compressor stations, hydrocarbon recovery and procession facilities, made by means of laser welding – an exclusive technology developed by the company’s engineers,» said the company about the exposition.

Besides presenting the main equipment, Chelpipe Group offered their visitors to try on the roles of DJs. In a specially arranged zone, those who wished it were offered to create and record their own electronic music. “Musical compositions are managed by means of touch screens, sensors, and sliders» Chelpipe Group explained.

As the Chelpipe Group representative said, at the Forum the company renews its existing agreements on tubular products supplies with the oil and gas companies.
