On October 6, the 7th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum and the Russian Energy Week, saw the final and awarding of the winners of the best social venture of the oil and gas sector contest. The Staff Conference HUMAN ASSETS also took place on that day. These events were attended by Vladimir Smirnov, Director of the Department of State Service and Mobilization Preparation at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.
The participants of the conference have discussed the matters of labor, interaction of companies and educational agencies, and changes in the labor law and development of the system for professional expertise.
In his speech at the conference, Vladimir Smirnov told the audience about the changes prepared by the Ministry of Education of Russia. Following these changes, the Ministry of Energy would design its offers regarding the targets on acceptance of citizens for studying into higher educational institutions associated with the fuel and energy sector. “This is a rather important fact for our industries,” the Department Director said.
Greeting the winners of the contest, Vladimir Smirnov noted that the Ministry believes solving social challenges is as critical as improving the labor conditions and life standards of workers. He also believes that the social policy introduced by the companies within the fuel and energy complex is important. He also emphasized that the final had been preceded by some major and most interesting work both in the companies and at the jury level. Mr. Smirnov expressed regret that it was impossible in only 10 minutes to show all the amount of work performed within the companies, and the colossal effect reached, but he expressed confidence that the contest promoted discovery, studying, and distribution of the experience of the socially active enterprises, as well as improved the fuel and energy complex reputation.
The jury included the representatives of the Veterans Council and the Youth Council of the Oil and Gas Industry at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, and it decided to award the following companies:
LUKOIL PJSC – for introduction of the innovative staff development system, for distribution of social partnership principles, for development of new forms of social partnership;
Transneft PJSC – for its system approach to recruitment, training, and development of the workers and engineers, for its efficient activities regarding engagement and loyalty of its employees;
Rosneft Oil Company PJSC – for forming the candidate pool and supporting the education in Russia, for creating conditions for healthy living, for distribution of healthy living standards;
Surgutneftegas JSC – for creating labor conditions that facilitate maintenance of health of their employees at work;
Gazprom neft PJSC – for taking part in solving the social challenges of territories and development of corporate charity;
Zarubezhneft JSC – for development of the labor market in the presence regions, for development of the labor and personal potentials of their employees;
Tatneft PJSC – for efficient development of the socially responsible business;
NK RussNeft PJSC – for development of the workforce potential and corporate culture.
Special badges for the social work results were given to Rosneft Oil Company PJSC and Transneft PJSC.
Special awards from the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation were given to LUKOIL PJSC and Tatneft PJSC.
