Accreditation rules

Dear colleagues, You need to be accredited to work at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. It is mandatory to be accredited, and it is done in accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation “On Mass Media”.

Accreditation rules for mass media representatives at the events organised by ExpoForum International:

  1. To qualify to be accredited at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, you have to be a journalist, press photographer, cameraman employed by Russian mass media registered by the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Media in accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation “On Mass Media”, or a foreign journalist accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
    Individuals who are not media representatives as well as representatives of advertising media, catalogues or commercial web portals have no right to be granted media accreditation.
  2. The Organising Committee of the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum has the right to limit the number of accredited journalists, refuse to grant accreditation to a mass media representative who presented untrue or inaccurate information about themselves, missed the deadline for requesting accreditation, or violated the rules of working at the event.
  3. Mass media representatives wishing to take part in covering the events, shall submit an application for accrediting (hereinafter referred to as “the application”) via the media registration form. It is required to fill in all the fields of the accreditation form. Applications not meeting the requirements outlined in this paragraph, shall not be accepted for consideration.
    TV companies planning to cover the events are required to send the license plate numbers of the editorial office cars and trucks, or DSNG vehicles to enter the territory of the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre to e-mail: press@expoforum.ru.
  4. The accredited journalists shall be registered and badges shall be issued in the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre, in the passage after presentation of the press card or editorial assignment.
  5. The accredited media representative shall have the right to:
    • attend business and exhibitions events;
    • get information about the events program;
    • film and take pictures in the area where the event is held;
    • make use of all services intended for journalists;
    • when applicable, work in and make use of the facilities provided by the press centre during the event;
    • take part in press conferences, briefings and other events for mass media.
  6. The accredited journalist is required to:
    • present their press card or other ID card and professional credentials on first demand when engaging in their professional activities;
    • not to interfere in the course of the event if it was not organized specifically for mass media;
    • report information accurately;
    • observe the rules and regulations set forth for the events, stop taking pictures or filming if demanded by representatives of the event security service;
    • when using official information, quoting statements by participants of the events, the finished materials shall contain the name of the event and the source of information.

Being accredited does not imply access to invitation-only events.
