Innopolis University is primarily focused on teaching, research, and projects in the fields of information technology and robotics. In the academic year 2022 / 2023 there are 1 077 students at Innopolis University studying subjects of the 175 courses on the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Ph.D. levels in the areas of Computer Science, Theoretical Fundamentals of Computer Science, Software Development and Engineering, Networks and System Engineering, Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence, and Robotics and Computer Vision. The average state scholastic assessment score of the first-year students was 99.36. At Innopolis University there are 17 scientific laboratories and 9 scientific centers established. The University currently conducts 74 research projects with the largest Russian companies such as Gazprom, Aeroflot, KAMAZ, Nornikel, Rosseti, RusGidro, Severstal, and others. In June 2018, within its facilities, Innopolis University has officially established the National Center of Competence of the National Technological Initiative in the area of “Technologies of components in Robotics and Mechatronics”. In May 2019 the experts of the Center together with the members of the Consortium presented the roadmap for the development of robotics and sensors in Russia until 2024. The Center includes the Laboratory of Neuroscience and Cognitive Technologies that produces the leading research results in the world.
